MARGARINE
Soybean oil and the different base-stocks obtained by hydrogenation, play an important role in the formulation of margarine. It is specially used in polyunsaturated margarine, which is a premium product, that soybean oil finds an extensive use. Through the technique of inter-esterification, it is possible to obtain margarine from soybean oil based raw materials which are free of, or very low in, trans isomers. |
