In cosmetics, the dispersing and wetting forces of lecithin to ensure fat distribution, are of extreme importance. In addition, lecithin has a synergistic effect on several of the other substances and co-operates to increase the effect of each other. This is more than obvious for skin care products, where proteins and fats are used to keep the skin smooth and velvety. Lecithin not only disperses the fats but also value-determining ingredients such as aromatic and colouring matter (skin oil, lips-stick).
