SOY FLOUR CONCENTRATES
After extraction of the soybean oil it is possible to separate the water-soluble carbohydrates from the special soybean meal, white flakes obtained by the process called flash desolventising. Several techniques are available to the industry, one of them being extraction with diluted ethanol. The soy flour concentrates contain at least 65 % protein. Soy protein concentrates are offered in powder or granular forms and are re-fatted or lecithinated for minimum dustiness or rapid dispersibility. They find application in meat products, or as an extender or for technological reasons. |
